Hospitality

The PTA provides our teachers several luncheons a year. The Hospitality Chairperson, along with many volunteers, create wonderful meals for our deserving, dedicated teachers and staff. Volunteering will be limited to contacting vendors and picking up food that is ordered, set up and clean up.

Family Engagement Nights

We are hoping to host family movie nights, among other family nights at our school. Community building is very important for our mission and we hope to give you lots of opportunities to engage and build relationships.

Room Parent

Parents are provided opportunities to participate in the classroom helping to communicate between your child’s teacher and the PTA. Room Parents are needed to coordinate the classroom activities with the teacher and keep the classroom parents informed about additional items like Teacher Appreciation Week and family enrichment events. PTA provides a chairperson that keeps all Room Parents up to date on event information.

Volunteer Programs

Opportunities to volunteer are available throughout the school year, however, all parents are encouraged to register at fall registration or any time by emailing at vicepresident@buckhorncreekpta.com

Communications

Volunteers will help update and maintain the school newsletter, website, and social media accounts helping to keep parents informed about all PTA events and activities.

Yearbook

Volunteers will work with Strawbridge to help create our yearbook. Responsibilities include: taking pictures at school events and creating the yearbook with the software provided. Training will be provided for the software.

Reflections

This is a national PTA program to give students confidence in their abilities to explore ideas and learn through the arts! Members of this committee will utilize online tools to help plan and submit entries for this event.

Membership

The membership team will help generate members through membership drives and awareness throughout the school.

Audit

Monthly review of PTA’s bank statements ensuring expenditures align with the approved budget. Review Treasurer’s end of year report and submit by August 31.

Advocacy

Focuses on furthering the goals of local and National PTAs.

Nominating

Before last general meeting, prepare a slate of nominees for officer positions for
the following year.
